KABUL (Pajhwok): Japan's Ambassador Takayoshi Kormaya has promised his country;s continued support to Afghanistan health sector.
He held out the promise in a meeting with Public Health Minister Dr. Qalandar Ebad, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) wrote on its X handle.
Both sides discussed sustained bilateral cooperation in the health sector. Ebad appreciated Tokyo's support for the Afghan-Japan Hospital.
For his part, Kormaya expressed his satisfaction with joint work and continued cooperation in the health sector. Japan would deliver 13 equipped ambulances and medicine to Afghanistan in near future.
Earlier, Ebad and ex-Malaysian prime minister Mahathir bin Mohammad had discussed the expansion of bilateral ties.
