Efforts underway to improve Kabul, Int’l community ties: Dickson

KABUL (Pajhwok): UK Chargé d’Affaires of to Afghanistan Robert Chatterton Dickson has said his country fully supported durable peace in Afghanistan and efforts were underway to improve Kabul’s ties with the world.

Arg on its Twitter handle wrote that Deputy Acting PM Mawlavi Abdul Kabir held a meeting with UK chargé d’Affaires.

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that Afghanistan and UK have cordial ties and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) give huge importance to its ties with the world particularly with London.

He said: “UK shall display the real picture of Afghanistan to the world and engaged with the IEA.”

Dickson on his part renewed Afghanistan’s cordial ties with the world and added efforts were underway to improve Kabul ties with the world.

He stressed Afghanistan’s relationship with the world needed continued political interaction with the world.

He said UK wanted to connect Afghanistan with the world and remove the misunderstanding between the two sides.

Earlier, Dickson called on IEA-Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Alhaj Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanekzai.

“Appreciating the humanitarian assistance of the UK, DFM Stanekzai said that IEA considers dialogue & engagement with all sides in the interest of Afghanistan, the region & the world, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Twitter handle wrote.

It added: “Mr. Dickson said that UK-Afg engagement will be further enhanced in the future & reaching this milestone is importance.”
