MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): An armed thief has been killed in a clash with security forces in Mazar-i-Sharif, capital of northern Balkh province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News three armed thieves were involved in robberies in Mazar-i-Sharif and one of them was killed by security forces in 10th police district on Saturday evening.
He said the remaining two robbers managed to escape, but a manhunt had been launched for their arrest.
A pistol was also recovered from the slain robber, Waziri concluded.
