Over 3,500kg narcotics seized, torched in Farah

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces torched more than 3,500 kilograms of different types of narcotics in Bakwa district of western Farah province, police said on Saturday.

The narcotics had been seized during a special operation by security forces in Wadod area of the district today (Sunday) morning, the police headquarters said in a statement.

It said about 69kg of chemicals used in processing crystal meth were also recovered from a vehicle during the operation.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and efforts are underway to arrest the main smuggler.
