KABUL (Pajhwok): Security forces have freed a 35-year-old man from illegal confinement in norther Takhar province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Thursday.
In a post on X, the ministry said Noor Agha, hailing from Qalbars Tajar area, had been held in captivity by his father, Abdul Hakeem.
“The 35-year-old man had a dispute with his father over land. At last, police found Noor Agha in chains inside a dark room in his house,” MoI added.
According to the ministry, the mental health of Noor Agha is unstable and he is currently in hospital for medical treatment. The incident is being investigated.
