KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has promised creating facilities in various areas, including trade, for Afghanistan.
He held out the promise during a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesman Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal wrote on his X handle Muttaqi briefed the Turkmenistan leader on security, stability and investment in Afghanistan.
The minister appreciated Berdimuhamedov for paying special attention to cooperation with Afghanistan and said both countries had made good progress in many fields.
For his part, Berdimuhamedov said they desired to supply gas and electricity to Afghanistan and were making efforts for the development of Afghanistan’s railway sector.
Berdimuhamedov referred to next week’s exhibition of Afghan products in Ashgabat, saying both countries should take advantage of it.
He pledged that they would create facilities in various sectors, including trade, for Afghanistan.
