Man gunned down in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a man in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Ahmadullah Anas told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Padkhab Shana area of the provincial capital on Monday night around 7:00pm.

He said Syed Agha, 40, was shot dead by unknown armed men.

He added security forces were quick to reach the scene, but no one could be arrested in connection with the murder.

On nonymity condition, a relative of the deceased told Pajhwok that Syed Agha had no personal enmity with anyone and security forces should arrest his killers.
