2,000 military posts decreed for Panjsher youth

PARAKH (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has decreed 2,000 new military posts for the youth in central Panjsher province, police said on Thursday.

Panjsher police spokesman Abdullah Oqaab told Pajhwok Afghan News former military officers could also join the 2,000 new military posts

.Currently, 80 percent of the military posts have been filled and documents for the remaining posts are being processed.

Youths, who have been recruited, said giving employment to the youth would help alleviate poverty and asked the government to pay more attention to the province’s development.

Farhadullah, one of the recruited youths in Pariyan district, told Pajhwok: “We are happy to be recruited in the army”.

Naqib, another recruit n Rokha district said: “Nearly for three years I had been unemployed, I am happy to be appointed”.

Earlier, Panjsher police had announced recruiting 400 people on different military posts.
