KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting government officials have said that the best business opportunities were available in Afghanistan and invited foreign businessmen to invest and get benefit from the present circumstances.

The Afghan-Kazakh Exhibition has been launched today (Thursday) in the capital Kabul. High-level government officials were present at the inauguration event. Locally produced products from both countries are put on display in 80 stalls in the exhibition.

The exhibition would help improve trade between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, according to the officials.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, the acting prime minister’s economic affairs aide, said this type of exhibition could help improve the trade volume between the two countries.

Referring to business and trade he said that there were more opportunities to invest in the country than ever before, he asked domestic and foreign businessmen and investors to take advantage of the opportunities available in the investment sector in Afghanistan.

Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that as a result of Afghanistan’s balanced and economically friendly policy the government now had 38 active political missions in the world.

He termed the financial and banking sanctions imposed on Afghanistan a vindictive and cruel act.

The government political aide Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) relationship with the world was improving and the country was moving forward in commerce and traded sectors besides development in political and economic sectors.

Acting Commerce and Trade Minister Nooruddin Aziz said that trade volume and banking transactions between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan had expanded.

Aziz said holding such exhibitions has significantly increased the volume of trade, especially exports, and the variety of export products between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

Some Afghan stallers also termed the convention of such events vital for the exploration of markets and the increase of exports.

Sania Mohammadi and Furishta Hasanzada, who put their products on display in the exhibition, said this type of event helped their business improve.

He urged the government to organize of such events and stressed over the presence of women as well in exhibitions.

It is pertinent to mention that a delegation headed by Kazakh Deputy Premier Serik Zhumangarin arrived in Afghanistan on Wednesday. The visiting delegation would meet Afghan officials and discuss strengthening bilateral relationships.

The Afghan-Kazakh exhibition was organised last year in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

According to the Afghanistan International Exhibition Centre’s figures, 10 joint exhibitions have been held in the past year. These exhibitions were organised with Qatar, Oman, Iran, Turkiye, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and similar exhibitions will be held with Iran and Turkmenistan in the near future as well.
