KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has asked a visiting Turkish delegation led by the country’s immigration chief to relax the process of issuing visas to the Afghans.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs deputy spokesman Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said Muttaqi met the Turkish delegation led by Attila Toros, general director of the Turkish Immigration Agency.
Muttaqi asked the delegation to facilitate the process of issuing visas to Afghans so they could legally travel to that country.
Welcoming Turkey’s humanitarian aid, Muttaqi also discussed with the delegation the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of immigration, prevention of illegal immigration and fight against mafia.
Issues concerning economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Turkey also came up for discussion during the meeting.
