KABUL (Pajhwok): The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) says it has provided aid to over 1.2 million Afghans with support from the European Union (EU) from 2018 to 2023.
On its X account, the organisation wrote: “The European Union is a longstanding partner of IOM. Thanks for EU’s support.”
IOM provided assistance to over 1.2 million Afghans from 2018 to 2023, including returnees, disaster-affected people and other vulnerable groups.
Recently UNOCHA announced that 23.7 million Afghans, including 9.2 million children, are in need of humanitarian assistance.
