FAIZABAD/PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Six people have been killed, and four others wounded in two separate traffic accidents in northern Baghlan and northeastern Badakhshan province.
Qari Gulbuddin Suhail, an official of the Traffic Department in Badakhshan, said the accident took place when a pick-up veered off the road and overturned in Khwahan district on Thursday.
He said three of the six on board lost their lives in the accident and the rest suffered no causalities.
He linked the accident to careless driving and high speed.
In Baghlan, three people were killed and four others, including a child and two women, injured as a result of a collision of a Sarach type vehicle with a cargo truck in Dand-i-Ghori district of the province on Thursday night, the police headquarters said in a statement.
It said the injured were transferred to the provincial hospital for medical treatment.
