JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three people were killed and four others were injured after between two families clashed over a land dispute in eastern Nangarhar province yesterday, police said Sunday.
Police spokesman Hafiz Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash took place in Kala Chamyar area of Jalalabad city’s eighth security district on Saturday evening.
He said one family lost two members and another lost one member to the clash that also left a third person who tried to stop the fighting dead.
Four others, including a woman, from both sides were injured in the incident.
Security forces reached the area and evacuated the injured to hospital, Zabuli said.
Reza Khan, a resident, told Pajhwok the two families had long been in a dispute over ownership of a land. Those involved in the clash had fled, he added.
