KABUL (Pajhwok): Work on two solar water supply projects has started in central Maidan wardak and southern Helmand province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) said on Saturday.
With the financial support of UNICEF work on the water supply project kicked off in the Folad village of Helmand’s Washir district, the cost of the solar water supply project is 5.4 million afs, the MoRRD statement said.
The project included the construction of a water reservoir with the capacity of 20 cubic metrer water, lying of 2,712 meter long water pipe and installation of 79 water taps.
Separately, work on a solar water supply project has kicked off in the Akhundkhelo village of Jalrez district, the project cost 4.2 million afs.
The project included the digging of a deep well, construction of a water reservoir with the capacity of 30 cubic water, lying of a 3,450 metre long pipe and installation of 72 water taps.
