IEA to achieve full control over its airspace, says defence minister

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Defence Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid says that Afghanistan have fully achieved territorial sovereignty and are on track to gain full control over its airspace.

Mujahid made these remarks during a gathering of praising security forces in Kabul on Thursday.

Without providing specific details, he noted that both internal and external enemies are attempting to disrupt security.

“We are committed to securing control over our airspace, just as we have achieved full territorial integrity,” Mujahid said. “We urge everyone to respect Afghanistan’s sovereignty and refrain from actions that undermine the integrity of our land.”

He emphasized that the security and defense forces operate under the leadership of the Islamic Emirate and are dedicated solely to protecting the nation.

Mujahid reassured the international community that Afghanistan’s vehicles, weapons, military assets, and infrastructure are protected.

He also affirms that the country’s territory is well-controlled and its territorial integrity is firmly established.
