No militant group exists in Afghanistan: Wasiq

KABUL (Pajhwok): Militant groups mentioned in the International Organisations' reports did not exist in Afghanistan instead Afghanistan remained victim of terrorism by groups that have hideouts in the neighborhood, an official said on Thursday.

Mullah Abdul Haq Qaseeq, head of the General Directorate of Intelligence Directorate (GDI), said this while addressing organised for the admiration of security forces.

He said intelligence institutions under different names in the past had committed activities which were inhuman and unimaginable.

He said arbitrary activities committed in the past such as arrests, kidnapping, torturing, terrorizing, spying for foreigners, slaughtering the people of this country and threatening was the duty of the past intelligence institutions but after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA)  take over all these activities ended.

The current GDI administration had been filtered and individuals who committed such activities were removed. Now there was no arbitrarily arrested, no one is tortured or terrorized but all of its affairs run according to the law of sharia, he explained.

Wasiq said: “A number of global organizations spread false reports, given to them by some intelligence organization about the presence of militants groups inside Afghanistan, currently Sharia law is ruling in the country and all the people enjoy a security and economic opportunities.”

The organizations that spread such false report are experts in the production and spreading of such reports and it has become a business for them, they spread such wrong report according to the will of some countries, Wasiq said.

Such organizations and sources spread such reports for the creation of suspicions, differences among the people and creating gaps between in the society, the world must know that such activities and plans are not in the interest of anyone and they have no benefit.

Wasiq called on security authorities of the IEA to pay attention to their responsibilities, treat its people well, respect all the minors and elders.

The aim of spreading such incorrect and false reports about GDI is to harm its image, they are all lies and the world know the facts, all the countries and groups know who really want the peace and prosperity in the region and in the world, Wasiq said.

The GDI directorate tried performs its duties in accordance with its law based on the Fiqh of Hanafi religion, such laws had been approved and ratified by the religious scholars, leadership of the IEA and all are monitored carefully.
