4,000kg of drugs destroyed in Uruzgan raids

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Security officials last night discovered two drugs making factories in two districts of central Uruzgan province and burned 4,000 kilograms of drugs.

Bilal Uruzgani, Uruzgan police spokesman, told Pajhwok the two drug factories were discovered in Takabdar area of Gezab district and Gorgin area of Charchino district.

He added that 4,000 kilograms of methamphetamine and a quantity of drug processing equipment were seized and destroyed on the spot.

He did not say if any arrests were made in connection with the factories,
