KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund has said the killing of Hamas Political Office Leader Ismail Haniyah was a grave violation of all practiced international norms, a statement said on Sunday.
Targeting people like Haniyah is a grave violation of international norms and showed that enemies during ongoing fight have no respect for any principle, a statement from his office said.
He asked influential states worldwide to stop Israel from committing crimes and not allow the conflict to spread beyond Gaza.
Haniyeh was assassinated by the Zionist regime in Tehran in the early hours of July 31. He was in the Iranian capital for the inauguration of Iran’s new President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ismail Haniyeh was targeted by a short-range weapon with a warhead of about seven kilograms from outside his residents.
