2 die, as many wounded in Balkh traffic accidents

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and two others injured in two separate traffic accidents in northern Balkh province, police said on Thursday.

In a statement, the traffic police department said the first accident took place when a vehicle overturned due to high speed in Ferdawsi area of 6^th district of Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital.

The accident killed a 19-year-old boyand injured the driver and two others, the statement said

Separately, a 45-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle in Qul Mohammad Kala area of 10^th district.

Baryalai, the driver, has been arrested and he is currently being grilled.
