KABUL (Pajhwok): Forty health workers have been sent to Iran for one-month comprehensive training in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a statement said on Saturday.
Specialist physicians and nurses were part of the team sent to the neighboring country of Iran to receive comprehensive one-month training in ICU, a statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said.
The source added that training has been started for these health workers in this field; they will bring many new things with them in the field of health upon returning to the country.
In order to strengthen the health system and train specialists, efforts were underway to make use of all available facilities and train specialist health personnel at home, and also to provide education to health workers in foreign countries, so that they can create a strong health system and provide standard health care services to all patients within the home.
