KABUL (Pajhwok): The TAPI and other projects enable Afghanistan to compete with the world, acting Borders and Tribal Affairs minister said on Wednesday.
Maulvi Noorullah Noori told a meeting in the Continental hotel in Kabul that TAPI and other projects were Afghans’ property and they will make Afghanistan competitive with the world”.
Under the Islamic Emirate, Afghanistan witnessed development projects in three years, the country had seen in 50 years, he added.
“Every government system has three basic responsibilities (security, religion and economy) and IEA has successfully fulfilled its responsibilities in all areas”
According to him, political and economic interactions are necessary and the IEA wants to interact with the world.
In this meeting, chairman of Jirga Ahmad Ali Jan explained IEA achieved good results in economic development and competed with the world in political and military fields.
Government has provided good living situations for residents with limited resources and this is a great achievement, Ali Jan explained.
“The TAPI project, which started after about 30 years, shows the sincerity and honesty of the IEA.”
Jan said now Afghanistan was secure and those who used to fight here were coming to the country for tourism.
A number of tribal elders and union leaders also expressed their happiness over the inauguration of practical work on TAPI project in Afghanistan.
On behalf of the directors of 22 districts of Kabul city, Haji Ahmad Shah said that they stood with the government in the protection and implementation of these projects.
Meanwhile, head of traders’ association, Haji Abdulhadi Ghazniwal said the country’s development was the responsibility of its people and they should join hands for this cause. He also thanked security forces for protecting these projects.
