KABUL (Pajhwok): The outgoing Uzbek ambassador says businesspeople from his country are willing to invest in Afghanistan’s various sectors.
Shadmanov Yadgarkhoja made the statement at a farewell meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi in Kabul on Monday.
Yadgarkhoja met the deputy premier on completing his 12 years mission in Afghanistan, the Presidential Palace wrote on its X handle.
The ambassador expressed satisfaction with cooperative ties between Tashkent and Kabul, saying he had done his best to further enhance these links during his mission.
He also announced that Uzbek businesspeople were ready to invest in Afghanistan in various sectors, specially in mines and energy.
For his part, Hanafi also emphasised on positive bilateral relations between two countries. All foreign capitalists were welcome to invest in Afghanistan, he said.
On Sunday, Kazakh Ambassador Alim Khan Yasin Gildaye had also announced the end of his mission in Kabul at a meeting with Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi.
