KABUL (Pajhwok): Six complexes would be conducted at the cost of 549 million afs in Herat, Helmand, Nangarhar and Balkh provinces for the exhibition and promotion of agricultural products, a statement said on Tuesday.
The Economic Affairs Office of the government on its X handle wrote that the Agriculture Ministry presented a draft plan for the construction of six complexes for the construction of agricultural products exhibitions and promotion in Herat, Helmand, Nangarhar and Balkh provinces.
The draft plan was tabled during the scheduled technical meeting of the Economic Commission which was approved after a multi-dimensional discussion and was referred to the Economic Commission’s meeting for the final say.
The recommended facilities would be constructed by the Agricultural Ministry on 2,250 acres of land at the cost of 549 million afs.
According to the source, in this meeting, the procedure established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock regarding the utilization of natural forest wood and forest by-products in the country was also discussed.
After a comprehensive evaluation, this procedure was approved by considering the opinions of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission and was referred to the Economic Commission for the final decision.
Based on this procedure, deforestation would be prevented in the country's natural forests and basic steps would be taken to restore the forests.
