Badri in Moscow to attend energy forum

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) minister of mines and petroleum is visiting Russia to participate in an energy forum in Moscow.

Hedayatullah Badri on Wednesday left for Moscow to attend the 7th Russian Energy Week International Forum, the ministry said in a statement.

Badri and the delegation accompanying him will stay in Russia for three days. The event, which begins today, will conclude on September 28.

Led by Badri, the delegation includes Wahidullah Halimi, senior technical advisor, Mohammad Meraj Meraj, chief of staff to the minister, Mohammad Tariq, director of Hydrocarbons Regulation, and Mohammad Nasir Rahimi Hassan, head of the Oil and Gas Company of Afghanistan.
