KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) has signed two agreements worth more than $1.4 million with two organisations.
The agreements were signed between Wadan Afghanistan and Norwegian Refugee Council, the ministry wrote on its Facebook page.
The accords were inked by MoRR official Mohammad Jan Khadarkhel and representatives from the two institutions.
The Norwegian Refugee Council will invest $860,037 in the construction of permanent shelters, the renovation of existing shelters, rental assistance and the purchase of solar panels.
This initiative will benefit 5,568 people in Kabul, Kandahar, Kunduz, Nangarhar, Sar-i-Pul, Herat, and Zabul provinces.
Additionally, the Wadan Afghanistan organisation will pay 150 people in Nangarhar and Laghman $238,696 for the purchase of beekeeping equipment, apiculture training, marketing and business activities.
