MAIMANA CITY (Pajhwok): An orphanage facility in which 250 girls and boys could be sheltered has been inaugurated in Maimana City, the capital of northwestern Faryab province, an official said.
Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadi, deputy minister of Works and Social Affairs Ministry, during the inauguration ceremony said in line with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) leaderships’ orders the ministry was bounded to round up orphans children and those without caretaker.
The ministry was also bound to look after these children provide them with skills and address their problems and demands.
Mawlavi Hameedullah Ershad, deputy governor of Faryab, said During the 20 years of war and occupation, more or less a thousand people have become orphans and orphans in this province, and the government is responsible for raising, educating and caring for them.
Samiullah Ibrahimkhel, spokesperson for the ministry of Works and Social Affairs, said based on the ministry’s share, 250 children, including 150 boys and 100 orphaned girls, would be taken care of separately in the Maimana orphanage.
He said the ministry would provide all necessary services for orphans and children without caretaker in the field of education, training, health and food sectors.
He said that so far 10,000 orphans and orphans have been brought up and educated in the country, and efforts were being made to round up deserving children from the provinces and districts in the future and provide them with support and education.
