150 Palestinians suffer casualties in Israeli airstrikes

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 150 people suffered casualties in Israeli airstrikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of Gaza, reports said on Friday.

According to BBC Arabic, many residential buildings were destroyed late yesterday in the attack in Jabalia camp.

The Civil Defense Authority in Gaza said the Israeli planes hit several residential buildings in the Al-Huja street in the center of the Jabalia camp, with many people still stuck under the rubble.

A spokesman for the authority said deaths and the number injured could increase.

The Israeli forces have besieged the Jabalia camp for about three weeks.

Palestinian sources say medical teams could not go to the area fearing Israeli attacks.

In recent bombings, 11 buildings where displaced people are living were targeted.

Palestinian medical officials say since the start of the Israeli operation, approximately 43,847 people have lost their lives and more than 100,000 people were injured.
