KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistics and Information Authority says nearly 145,000 Computerised National Identification Cards (CNICs) were distributed in the past month across the country.
In a statement, the NSIA said 144,840 individual CNICs distributed through its 78 distribution and Asan Khedmat centres during the past month across the country.
With 41,573 CNICs, the capital city of Kabul became on the top of the distribution list, then Nangarhar with 8,508 CNICs, followed by Herat with 6,790 CNICs, Kandahar 5,856 CNICs and finally Balkh with 4,998 CNICs with the highest number of IDs.
The INSIA has also provided 9,235 individuals after distribution services about their CNICs during the same period, NSIA concluded.
