KABUL (Pajhwok): Nine Afghans have been released from jails in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Wednesday.
MoRR wrote on X the nine individuals were freed from different prisons after spending six to 12 months, following efforts by Afghan officials.
“These Afghans had been detained for lack of legal documents,” it said.
According to the ministry, after being released by Interpol, the prisoners returned through Torkham border and were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance.
