US, allies threaten Eurasia security: Russian FM

KABUL (Pajhwok): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that the United States of America and its allies "aggressive posture" threatened the security of the entire Eurasian continent and increased the risk of fragmentation.

Lavrov made these remarks in his speech at the Second World Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk.

He said that the "aggressive posture" of the USA and its allies threatens the security of the entire Eurasian continent and increases the risk of fragmentation.

He added the West continued to interfere in the South Caucasus and sought to influence the peace process of Armenia and Azerbaijan; Meanwhile, the US and its allies was trying to made themselves part of the critical situation of peace and stability in Afghanistan and create a pretext for the resumption of this process.

It is pertinent to mention that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has not reacted to the Russian FM's remarks.
