KABUL (Pajhwok): The national bodybuilding and fitness team is all set to leave for the Maldives to participate in the 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships, the National Bodybuilding Federation said on Monday.
The Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (AFBBF) wrote on its Facebook page that a 9 member team will leave today afternoon (Monday) for that country.
The Afghan athletes include Ezatullah Barakzai, Nayib Mobarez, Hameedullah Omari, Ali Reza Asahi and Mohammad Ayoub Azami in bodybuilding section. Athletes such as Naseebullah Azimi, Mahdi Aslami, Eid Al Haleem and Hameedullah Khushdil will show their muscles in the the body fitness and physique.
Noorul Hoda Rasteen is accompanying the national team as coach.
The World Bodybuilding Championship is scheduled to take place from November 5th to 11th in the beautiful Canareef Resort of Maldives.
