KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Public Health Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali and Emergency President Rossella Miccio have discussed various issues, including the expansion of services and facilities for disabled patients at the hospital.
At a meeting here on Tuesday; the two sides also conferred on the initiation of specialisation programmes at the Emergency Hospital, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in a statement.
It said the launch of short- and long-term capacity building programmes, expansion of existing health services, provision of facilities for disabled patients came up for discussion.
Jalali called international assistance essential for strengthening Afghanistan’s health sector. He urged the president of Emergency to cooperate on Afghan personnel’s capacity building.
For her part, Rossella Miccio affirmed: “We are committed to scaling up our services, placing a strong emphasis on essential and sustainable development within the health sector.”
She added they were striving to attract more partners to assist with Afghanistan’s health sector with cooperation from the international community to address existing challenges.
