Polio vaccination campaign launched in 10 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): A polio vaccination drive was launched on Monday in 10 provinces of the country, targetting 5.3 million children.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said around 5.3 million children under five would be administered polio vaccine from November 25 to 27 in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Uruzgan and Kunduz.

A statement from the ministry said polio vaccination campaign would be conducted in Herat province from November 30 to December 2.
