Uzbekistan-based Afghan traders urged to invest in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office has asked Afghan traders living in Uzbekistan to invest in Afghanistan’s mining, energy, agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

On X, Deputy Spokesman for Islamic Emirate Maulvi Hamdullah Fitrat wrote Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi met with some Afghan traders living Uzbekistan on Monday.

The meeting was held at IEA’s embassy in Tashkent and Fitrat urged Afghan traders to play their greater role in enhancing ties between the two countries in different fields especially trade.

On the other hand, Hanafi also asked Afghan businessmen living there to take advantage of the opportunities created in Afghanistan by investing in mining, energy, agriculture, and manufacturing and to participate in the development and prosperity of the country.

According to him, with the issuance of a general amnesty decree by the IEA, there is no security or political problem for anyone in the country, and it has provided opportunities and necessary facilities in different fields of trade and investment.
