Agreement signed to build storage dams in Herat

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) has signed an agreement with a company on building two storage dams in western Herat province.

In a statement, MoWE said the agreement was signed between acting minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour and “Ishaq Sodais” company head Mohammad Hussain Osmani.

It said the company will carry out survey, design, and construction of the “Tazarbid” and “Wakhil” storage dams in Adarskan district of Herat province.

However, MoWE did not provide information about the cost and when the dams will be completed.
