KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan Muay Thai star Qahraman Shaheen, the country’s first athlete to compete in the Rajadamnern World Series (RWS), has triumphed over his Chinese opponent in a thrilling contest in Thailand.
The fight between Shaheen and Wang Yu, his Chinese rival, took place last night in Bangkok. The event, organised by RWS, consisted of three three-minute rounds.
Shaheen, who competes at the highest level of Muay Thai, delivered a decisive knockout in the early moments of the second round with a powerful kick.
Before joining RWS, Shaheen was part of the World Fighting Championships (WFC), where he achieved an impressive record of eight consecutive wins, seven of which came by technical knockouts.
