Casualties as attacker killed at entrance to ministry

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least one person was killed and three others were injured on Thursday when a suicide attacker attempted to enter the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MoUDH), officials said.

In a statement, MoUDH spokesman Kamal Afghan said the incident took place before noon. The attacker was killed before reaching his target.

Afghan added: “The suicide attacker attempted to enter the ministry but was killed by guards before reaching his target. The incident resulted in an explosion which killed one person (apart from the attacker) and wounded three others...”

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
