TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): At least three people were killed as a result of an old mortar shell explosion in central Uruzgan province on Monday, an official said.
Police spokesman Bilal Uruzgani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the blast took place in Sheikh Ali area of Charchino district this morning.
He added the victims, aged between 15 and 18, were playing with the abandoned mortar shell when it detonated.
