SHEBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Four individuals, including two men and two women, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a resident of Sheberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province, officials said.
Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi, spokesperson for the Jawzjan police, said security and intelligence forces carried out a series of targeted operations that led to the arrests.
The suspects are accused of killing Mohammad Taher, son of Abdul Razzaq, a resident of Qazan Kol village in Sheberghan.
According to Halimi, three of the suspects are from Balkh province, while one is a resident of Jawzjan.
He added that the victim had gone missing 12 days earlier in Jawzjan. Following two days of search operations, anti-kidnapping units recovered his body in Balkh province and returned it to his family.
Halimi said the suspects confessed to the crime, citing a family dispute as the motive.
