3 killed after plane crashes in Brazil

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed and two others injured after a small aircraft crashed into a building in southeastern Brazil, a media report said on Tuesday.

A small aircraft carrying five people crashed into a building on Monday in the city of Belo Horizonte, killing three people, Reuters reported, citing local officials and firefighters.

The aircraft had taken off in the early afternoon from Pampulha Airport, about 8km from central Belo Horizonte, en route to São Paulo.

Authorities said the pilot, co-pilot, and one passenger were killed in the crash, while two other passengers were seriously injured and taken to hospital.

It added that no residents were injured and the building sustained no significant structural damage.
