CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Four men have been arrested on charges of armed robbery in central Parwan province, an official said on Wednesday.
In a statement, police spokesman Fazal Rahim Muskinyar said personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department identified and arrested the suspects from the Jangal Bagh area of Charikar, the provincial capital.
He said the suspects were detained during a timely operation while allegedly attempting to carry out an armed robbery. Two pistols were also seized from the detainees.
Muskinyar added that the detainees were residents of Parwan and have confessed to the charges during preliminary investigations.
The case will be referred to judicial institutions after the completion of investigations for further legal proceedings, the police spokesman concluded.
