KABUL (Pajhwok): Eight people were killed and 16 others injured in a traffic accident in Shinwari district of central Parwan province on Tuesday, a police official said.
Police spokesman Fazal-ur-Rahim Muskinyar said the accident took place this morning in the district when a van swerved off the road and overturned.
Muskinyar said the victims were residents of Shinwari district in Parwan province.
According to him, four children are among the dead and injured and the wounded have been transferred to Parwan Civil Hospital for treatment.
