KABUL (Pajhwok): A high-level delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Serik Zhumangarin, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy, arrived in Kabul on Saturday to attend the Afghan–Kazakh Trade and Economic Forum and the exhibition of Kazakh products.
According to a statement from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the delegation comprises deputy heads of several sectoral agencies, officials from economic institutions, and prominent representatives of Kazakhstan’s private sector.
The statement said the delegation is expected to hold meetings with Afghan officials during its visit and discuss ways to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The visit aims to facilitate participation in the “Afghan–Kazakh Trade and Economic Forum” and the exhibition of products and goods from the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kabul.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said the forum and exhibition are expected to open new opportunities for establishing trade partnerships, increasing bilateral trade, exchanging experiences, and attracting investment between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
