KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has travelled to Tehran for talks with senior Iranian officials, according to reports.
Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday that Naqvi will meet and hold discussions with Iranian officials during his visit.
According to the report, Naqvi is monitoring the process of Iran–US talks in Tehran.
No further details about the visit have been released so far.
Meanwhile, IRNA news agency also reported that Naqvi has visited Tehran several times since the beginning of Pakistan’s mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
The report added that on his most recent visit two weeks ago, he met Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
The visit comes two days after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, brokered by Islamabad.
