KABUL (Pajhwok): Amo Sharks defeated Boost Defenders by five wickets in the 11th edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League on Thursday.
According to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), Amo Sharks won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Boost Defenders scored 153 runs for the loss of all wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Najibullah Zadran top-scored for Boost Defenders with 45 runs, while Shamsur Rahman made 27 and Ibrahim Zadran added 23.
For Amo Sharks, captain Yamin Ahmadzai and Gulbadin Naib claimed three wickets each, while Abdullah Ahmadzai and Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up one wicket apiece.
In reply, Amo Sharks chased down the target in the 19th over, losing five wickets to seal a five-wicket victory.
Abdul Malik starred with the bat, scoring 64 runs, while Shahidullah contributed 35 and Mohammad Ishaq added 20.
The 11th edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League got underway in Khost on Wednesday.
