KABUL (Pajhwok): A Ukrainian drone attack has destroyed a logistics centre of Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, in the Tambov region, injuring two people, local officials said.
The Associated Press, citing local authorities, reported that the attack triggered a large fire that completely destroyed the facility.
Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervishov said a 19-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were injured.
Wildberries confirmed the attack and said the facility had been evacuated, but gave no details on the extent of the damage.
The AP reported that Ukrainian forces had also targeted the same centre on July 18, when seven people were killed. Ukrainian officials have said some goods handled by Wildberries include technical equipment and components used by the Russian military.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces had shot down 426 Ukrainian drones over 15 Russian regions and Crimea overnight.
In Russia’s Lipetsk region, Governor Igor Artamonov said a drone crashed into a house, killing two people and injuring two others.
Ukraine has intensified long-range drone attacks on Russian logistics and oil facilities in recent months, while Russia has continued missile and drone strikes on Ukraine.
