PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and 10 others injured in four separate traffic accidents in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, and the Mohammad Agha, Charkh and Baraki Barak districts, police official said on Sunday.
Logar police spokesman Mawlawi Ahmadullah Anas told Pajhwok that the first accident occurred on Saturday evening in the Altamor area of Pul-i-Alam during a wedding ceremony when two vehicles collided.
He said one person was killed and eight others injured in the accident.
Anas added that separate traffic accidents in Mohammad Agha, Baraki Barak and Charkh districts killed one person and injured two women.
Anas said security forces and local residents took the injured to the provincial hospital, adding that the condition of some of the wounded was reported to be critical.
He said preliminary findings indicated that driver negligence and excessive speed were the main causes of the accidents.
Two days earlier, three people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in the Gambarai area of Pul-i-Alam.
