KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence says operations against militants who crossed into Kamdesh district of eastern Nuristan province with Pakistan’s assistance have concluded, with 41 militants killed and 62 others arrested.
In a statement issued on Tuesday night, the ministry said Afghan security and defence forces had completed operations against what it described as “agents of mischief and corruption and ISIS insurgents” who crossed the Durand Line with the assistance of the Pakistani military regime.
The ministry said 41 militants were killed and 62 others were captured alive during the operations.
It added that the Islamic Emirate’s forces would not allow anyone to create insecurity in the country and warned that those attempting to do so would face a strong response.
