KANDAHARCITY (PAN): Twenty-five illegal Pakistani nationals were detained in southern Kandahar province, the governor’s office said on Monday.
The men, having no travel documents, were arrested in Zherai district of the province, a statement from the governor’s office said. Counterterrorism officials are interrogating the detainees.
Elsewhere counter narcotics police eradicated 35.5 acres of poppy in the Takhta Pul district, the statement added.
Separately, police recovered and defused an explosives-packed gas cylinder in the 12th police district of the provincial capital.
