GHAZNI CITY (PAN militants in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Wednesday.
Gunmen broke into the house of Maulvi Noorul Haq in Abdur Rahim village on Tuesday night, killing him and his two sons, Deputy Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Haq was a former jihadi commander and a tribal elder. Resident Amanullah Kamrani, also a provincial council member, confirmed the incident that came after an Afghan Local Police post was shifted from the village to another area.
But a Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said Haq was an ALP commander, who was killed along with two bodyguards.
